Liu from 1983-1997, B. Dutka and Ian Falconer from 1997-2001, I. Falconer and Christian Blaise from 2001-2009, C. Blaise and Paule Vasseur from 2009-2013, P. Vasseur and Doris Au from 2013-2015, and now Doris Au and Tracy Collier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Previous ISTA symposia have been held in 17 cities in 12 different countries:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Burlington, Canada (1983)<\/li>\n<li>Banff, Canada (1985)<\/li>\n<li>Valencia, Spain (1987)<\/li>\n<li>Las Vegas, USA (1989)<\/li>\n<li>Kurashiki, Japan (1991)<\/li>\n<li>Berlin, Germany (1993)<\/li>\n<li>Santiago, Chile (1995)<\/li>\n<li>Perth, Australia (1997)<\/li>\n<li>Pretoria, South Africa (1999)<\/li>\n<li>Qu\u00e9bec City, Canada (2001)<\/li>\n<li>Vilnius, Lithuania (2003)<\/li>\n<li>Skiathos Island, Greece (2005)<\/li>\n<li>Toyama, Japan (2007)<\/li>\n<li>Metz, France (2009)<\/li>\n<li>Hong Kong, China (2011)<\/li>\n<li>Cape Town, South Africa (2013)<\/li>\n<li>Bellingham, USA (2015)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">ISTA 18 is being held, for the first time, in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">ISTA serves as a catalyst for fruitful exchanges between researchers, managers and legislators involved in all fields of environmental science, safety, and health.
