There is a lack regarding methods to define standads used in Brazilian laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">The derivation of criteria is a continuous process because toxicological values, parameters used in algorithms, as well as algorithms themselves, change with the advance of science. So, it seems clear that Brazil needs to develop its own rules for the derivation of environmental and occupational criteria. Historically, the uses for these dyes included the coloration of textiles, paper, packaging, cosmetic and household products. However, little is reported about their ecotoxicological properties. It is anticipated that prediction models could be used to help provide this type information.
