In memoriam
The LAEG (Laboratory of Ecotoxicology and Genotoxicity), previously named as LEAL – Laboratory of Aquatic Toxicology and Limnology started its activities in 2004 when Dr Abílio Lopes de Oliveira Neto was hired. Unfortunately in 2008 Dr Abílio passed away. Thanks to his efforts we now aere able to continue to study and teach students in Ecotoxicology at the School of Technology in Limeira.
In 2009, Dr Gisela de Aragão Umbuzeiro was hired and the laboratory changed its mission, starting to develop studies on the fields of Ecotoxicology and Genotoxicity. After several years, we decided to change the name of LEAL to LAEG to better represent what we do these days. see more (in portuguese)
